A Lot of Lunching & Swimming in France | Part II

Remember Sunday's post? I was telling you how this sunny morning started, Fiz (the dog) demanding you throw all the sticks. Tummy full of croissants and tea, I sat at the big wooden table under the fig tree with Bee chatting away while dealing with a few emails here and there. Mum & Lizzie had spotted a few blackberry bushes the day before and decided to go explore further out into the woods...

They came back with buckets full, enough to make a delicious blackberry crumble and pick at them all day long. Deliciously sweet and juicy, I think I could live off berries (and cheese and bread...) for the rest of my life (ok..and chocolate)

After a long shady lunch, we sat in the sun, dipping in and out of the pool to cool down from the midday heat. Sadly 4pm came around way too quickly, it was time to pack our bags, and all jump in the car for a 3 hour drive back home, hair still wet from the last swim, feeling incredibly happy to have such wonderful friends, happy and inspired.

I think they must be the most talented and creative family we know! Bea is an incredible illustrator Catherine painter extraordinaire, James is an amazing photographer, Flora bakes the cakes of your dreams...(there's also the sweet Rose who wasn't with us this time but she's also a wonderful illustrator!) How can you not leave their house fully inspired?!
