Dinner Under the Old Fig Tree
Yesterday morning I left rainy London with a suitcase full of bikinis and dresses and flew off to the South of France to visit my parents and sister for a week. They greeted me at the airport with Hector (our chocolate lab) who was very excited to see me, but now that I think about it, he was probably just happy to leave the aiport and stop waiting around (my flight was delayed..)
They whisked me off to the Lot region to visit our old family friends. I have so many memories at their house, horse riding in the surounding fields, playing in the stacks of hay in the barn below, playing in the pool until we turned into real prunes.. it's a magical place.
Everyone was so happy to see one another, chatting loudly and laughing so much my tummy hurts this morning. We sat down for a candle lit dinner under the old fig tree, chatting away into the night, catching up on each other's lives. We're here for another couple of days, I cannot wait to show you more! I'm off for a swim, it's so hot!
