New Hair | Radio, Shoreditch
I have new hair!! but first, it all started with pizza.
I was catching up over my favourite margherita (Franco Manca) with Freya, when I suddenly got convinced to change my hair colour. Freya does that sometimes, she makes you DO stuff that you've been thinking about for ever.. she's got power.
It all really started when we were discussing our blonde dreams - we all have those wild Barbie blonde dreams right? the blonder the better! By the second slice I was all booked in at Radio Hair.
Now fast forward a few days - I found myself at their very cool salon in Shoreditch, I had been walking past it for months, always thinking about how seriously cool they all looked in there.
I had an appointment with the brilliant Claire who talked me through the whole process and kept her cool while dealing with my ginormous mane (I'm pretty sure it takes x93749850 longer than a normal person to style/cut/highlight my hair)
I came in with a 'Blonde Dreams' Pinterest board (as you do) to show her what I had in mind instead of trying to put it into words - which in my opinion is impossible if you're not a professional. 'I want to be huhmm... blondER..huhh beachy blonde? you know like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley 5 months and 12 days ago?' - just NO.
Turns out Radio is also Bumble & Bumble's UK flagship store, which is a revelation because I am obsessed with anything Bumble - the craze started with the sea salt spray and never ended. I actually left with a new shampoo which is my new favourite by far, it's sulfate free which is hard to come by, and filled with nourishing oils - trust me you'll like this one.
^ Claire dealing with layers upon layers of hair!
Radio doubles up as an art gallery.. when I said they were cool, I meant like REALLY COOL.
