My week in France was the BEST. I say this EVERY time I come back from a trip at home.. but it really is the best. I always feel so inspired when I'm there. The weather was out of this world, 35 degrees every day, which meant a lot of lounging by the pool (ignore my slightly sunkissed skin.. mum gave me a bottle of sunscreen from 2012 - merci maman)
I managed to catch up with my French grandparents, and friends I hadn't seen in a very long time. One of them being Lola, my oldest friend (remember? our mums knew each other before we were born!) who is now 6 months pregnant!! It was the weirdest experience.. It's the first time I'm seeing one of my friends pregnant, I'm still not over it. Feeling that little baby inside her tummy was SURREAL, I mean I know how babies are made and all but the thought that she is ACTUALLY growing a human being in there is mind blowing. (apologies for the excited all caps)
I also loved spending every minute with all the pets, you probably got bored of all the poney videos on Snapchat (taniajoyfjane). Hugo was the number one star. That horse though.. I've got some hilarious 'behind the scenes' photo to show you tomorrow. Shooting in the horse's paddock is not the most relaxing experience.. you're bothered by 2 horses and a labrador asking for tummy rubs every 2 minutes. On top of it all, those tall grasses make me highly allergic. I'm talking sneezing fits, swollen eyeballs, itchy nose.. the whole lot - ie. why I'm wearing sunglasses and my new presciption glasses so I'm able to see between shots.. it wasn't pretty. These photos wouldn't have happened without my favourite photographer/sister/best friend/partner in crime Lizzie.. Now I don't even have to shout aperture settings at her, she just knows!
See what I mean... spotlight hungry poneys.
