A Summer Party in the Lot
While I was back at home for a week (in the South of France for those of you who are new around here..!) we were invited at our friend's summer party in the Lot, which is a 3 hour drive away from our house. We don't see them very often so we were so happy to go. At the same time my cousins who were coming to visit us a few days later joined us at the party (it was on their way to us!) which made it even more exciting. The setting was magical, they had long tables just outside the barn, lit up with hundreds of candles. The barn turned into a Dance floor for the night, we danced all night long to the very talented band called Rag Mama Rag (you should check them out, if you like country music you will LOVE them) I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard and danced so much I could barely stand at the end of the night! I have the most hilarious videos of Lizzie playing air guitar (some kind of weird inside joke between us... it makes me laugh so much I can't control myself) As you can imagine the next day was spent recuperating with a delicious brunch under the trees followed by a snooze and a refreshing dip in the pool before we all jumped back in the car, back to our house. We exchanged Lizzie for Edward (my cousin) in the car which resulted in a lot of singing and speaking in a Jamaican accent for 3 hours... My family is weird. The best kind of weird.
