A few more scenes from last weekend! I had SO many photos to share... I mean look at the place! Everywhere you lay your eyes is amazingly beautiful in this effortless and elegant way. The pond just makes me want to get my watercolours out and paint my little heart out (which I haven't done in years!!)
We had a hat themed lunch, even Elsa (or is it Elza?!) the dog had hers on (for about 2 seconds). Then everyone found their favourite spot in the garden for a post-lunch siesta. It was delicious. The girls took on a very serious mission while everyone was snoozing away: washing Elsa. It was pretty funny to watch, there was a lot of running around the garden after the dog...and not a lot of washing going on! The afternoon went way too fast, Charlotte and I had to say our goodbyes mid lawn nap and hop on a train (or 3) back to London.
I have made a promise to myself to go out to the country at least once a month. It just makes me so happy. I truly am a country girl at heart, I love the city don't get me wrong.. I've fallen in love with London in the past few months but I do need my fresh air, my green pastures and pets running around time to time. It's my antidote to pollution and nasty public transport.
I hope you're having the best kind of Sunday!
