Marianne | New Restaurant in Notting Hill

Last week I was very kindly invited for dinner at Marianne Lumb's new restaurant in Notting Hill ! Marianne was a finalist on Masterchef : The Professionnals in 2009, I was very honoured and excited to be invited over with my two lovely blog pals, Rose from the Londoner and Roz from Dutchess Roz
It was one rainy evening, Marianne couldn't have been a better place to cosy up with a glass of wine and some delicious food. Marianne is the smallest fine dining restaurant in London, it only seats 14 people, which makes the whole experience feel like you are having dinner in her own home. You can actually see her at work in the kitchen through the glass window.
The menu is short and sweet, you have two options: 2 courses or 3 courses. It is packed with delicious seasonal dishes, and changed daily. It was almost impossible to pick each course, I wanted to try everything!

I started off with a draw-droppingly good truffle risotto - it was so good I think I could just eat it for ever and never be tired of it... Ok only if I'm also allowed chocolate.

To follow I had the Wagyu beef, simply prepared, so tender and packed with flavour. It was served with twice-cooked chips.
Some had the poached Turbot...

Some had the lamb...

Most of us couldn't resist to finish with a ' Chocolate Nemesis' - I'm still daydreaming of the salted caramelised peanuts/gooey brownies combo...
I couldn't recommend Marianne enough. It would be the perfect spot for a date, dim lights, cosy and extremely romantic! It is also just a great place to book for a family dinner or a special occasion. You can book for lunch or dinner. Check their website over here for more details...
After dinner we all jumped in a cab to Loulou's for one too many cocktails and a boogie. The perfect recipe for a fun evening! (As no photos are allowed in the club we have very few.. but if you want a peak here's one, two and three!)
