Our New Bedroom

I’m so excited for you to be blogging regular snippets of your life! Like you said, this is what we all got into blogging for in the first place. I’m feeling inspired to fit in a few ‘diary’ style posts into my own blogging schedule.

As for moving house, it is THE most stressful thing I’ve ever been through. We sold our old house and had our offer accepted on our new one back in November and are finally completing today! It’s taken five months of stress, arguments, incompetent solicitors, piles & piles of paperwork, back-and-forth’s with our buyer demanding money knocked off the price, and missing forms. I had no idea how stressful it would all be!

Finally, we get the keys today and I can’t wait! We’ve bought a house that’s an empty shell and needs a lot of work to get looking how we want it, so this is now the fun bit! Knocking down walls, making plans and decorating! I’m going to document the journey on my blog and on Stories.

Looking forward to your next post!

So i’m not sure I’d compare it to divorce, but buying a house is definitely one of the most stressful things I’ve ever done. So much uncertainty about where you’re going to literally lay your head for the foreseeable future, and if one single thing falls through, you could be homeless (or paying outrageously high, last-minute rental rates). Congratulations on getting to the point where you can make it a home! This is where the fun begins. 😉

Such a beautifully decorated room! I LOVE that desk of drawers – it’s so gorgeous! xx

  4. The sidetable perfectly frames the outlet–so satisfying! Really loving the desk of drawers. And yes, I’m a big believer in adding meaningful pieces to the home and taking the time that needs, rather than rushing to decorate everything at the beginning! I also always get excited about being able to start with a blank slate, a chance I got when I moved away for college 🙂 -Audrey | http://brunchataudreys.com

Love the light in your bedroom! And Ikea beds are pretty good. I have one 🙂

Congrats on your new place! The natural light in your bedroom and neutral colors create such a calming energy. Excited to see how it all comes together as you start decorating your home.

Beautiful and simple. And yes, I definitely miss the ‘simplicity’ of the old days of blogging…

It’s that time of the year again when all that matters is CHOCOLATE and HOT CROSS BUNS!!! Now if you can combine the two… then you have a winning combo in my opinion. I can’t quite believe it’s been a whole year since I last made and shared these (they were in a collab with […]
