Time to be happy

  1. hi there,i totally can feel what you felt all the while. i’m 30 and until now,i have yet to figure out should i stay permanently in singapore or just return to my homeland. i got no house, no car, no assets at all. as an asian, most people aged 27+ will start to plan their future house and getting marry or even buy a car. i got nothing, and i felt miserable too sometimes. i always wish time would reverse to my younger age so that i can start plan earlier. but you know what? reading the quote that "someone wise told you" did really relieved me a lots! really did!! thanks ๐Ÿ™‚

Yes but you’re not ‘most people’ – make your own rules! If you’re happy with where you’re at then that’s all that matters. other people’s ‘goals’ might not match your own at this time in your life, and that’s perfectly fine ๐Ÿ™‚ xx

  2. Jess says:

I totally agree with that wise person, no one has it all figured out! And not planning it all out leaves space to follow your heart. Love the watch too!

  3. Audrey Lin says:

Ugh I can’t find the quote right now, but it’s something about how parents are just grown up people who are just trying to figure things out like you and I are. The only difference is that they have had more time and have figured a little more things than we have. That was not an eloquent description of the quote I seem to be unable to find, but I was reminded of it when I read your post ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s kind of comforting to know that I’m not the only person who doesn’t have it all together, and especially comforting because final exams are coming up haha -Audrey | http://brunchataudreys.blogspot.com

    • Tania Joy says:

Oh I’ve heard that one before, it’s a good one! What does ‘having it together’ even means?! Good luck with your exams girl xx

Lovely to hear you are finding your feet after you move back to Europe! I blame the perfect Instagram accounts that make you feel like you’re not "together" enough hahaha. In all seriousness though it’s so nice to hear someone else say that maybe we’ve all just trying to get by as good as we can. Head up high lady…big things are coming!!!

Thank you sweet Megan! What is that quote again… comparison is the thief of joy?? It’s easy to get sucked into IG ad Pinterest thinking you’re not good enough.. We’re all doing the best that we can ๐Ÿ™‚ and just remember that people on IG and blogs only show 20% of their life.. you don’t see the whole picture – never. Ha YES to big things! xx

This post makes me happy and I don’t even know your story. Good for you, girl!

So glad you are feeling happier! A hard-breaking split with someone you love is one of the hardest things to get through. And it’s great that you’re on the other side! This time last year I was very unhappy, and everything has changed so much! Just shows that whatever situation you’re in, just keep going forward and things will get better. I also love your outfit here.

Stories like this make me feel so much better about myself. I’m finishing grad school this fall, and have no idea what to do afterwards. Plus I discovered that I actually want to change my career path, so I’m at the beginning. It feels frightening – one day I’ll be moving out of my room in Berlin, and I have no idea what happens the day after. Will I stay in Germany, will I go back home, will I move somewhere else, will I have a job or is it yet to be found? On one hand it’s awful; on the other, I too feel that it’s true that no one has it all figured out, and I don’t feel THAT bad telling people (parents, friends) that I have no idea what I will be doing several months from now. But I feel a lot of judgement. As if we’re all supposed to at least pretend we have it all figured out!

I’m glad you feel good, and so glad you were in the same boat I am in now. Makes me believe everything will indeed end up fine. xx

Hey Tihana! it is scary but also SO exciting and these situations are the ones that will make you grow the most, being outside of your comfort zone, pushing yourself, discovering new interests and hobbies. I was in that exact same place a few months back and then things just suddenly fell into places one after the other without me even realising. I’m so excited for you, you’re a brave girl for changing direction and wanting to find out what it is that you ACTUALLY want to do! You go girl! it will end up better than fine, I know it ๐Ÿ™‚ xx

It’s that time of the year again when all that matters is CHOCOLATE and HOT CROSS BUNS!!! Now if you can combine the two… then you have a winning combo in my opinion. I can’t quite believe it’s been a whole year since I last made and shared these (they were in a collab with […]
