The London Art Fair

  1. Not particularly unusual suggestions, but Hawker House is back this weekend, Borough Market is fab and Saatchi gallery is still up there in my top three galleries. Greenwich – the view from the observatory is incredible and down the hill there is a little square with fab food stalls. I’ve never lived in London (30 min train from Waterloo is close enough some might argue) but I still do a little skip whenever I’m there!

I don’t have any tips, but I’ve just moved to London on Friday, so I’d appreciate any tips you have 😉

  3. Sara Smith says:

If you’re interested in rock n’ roll history — the O2 has an exhibit on Elvis Presley for his 80th birthday. Everything being shown is from his personal collection from Graceland. It includes cars, motorcycles and his famous jumpsuits. The exhibit will be there until August. It’s pretty extensive. I loved it.
    Welcome back to London!!

London was my absolute favorite b/c there are so many fun things to do and see that are FREE! That is SUCH a luxury, I cannot even say 🙂

My fiance and I have a running list of things we need to get done when we visit his family in London. It’s mostly places to eat amazing food (been to London 3-4 times but I’ve NEVER eaten at pizza express- I know, shame on us) but the Flower Market is also on there, as is having tea at the National Portrait Gallery (the views are unrivaled)

Oh, and I 10000% agree with Beanie about Borough Market- a very tasty and absolute must 🙂

  7. Hannah-Lyse says:

    Good article 🙂
I really recommand you to go to the Old Spitalfields Market and if you don’t know it, the district is also very cool! And the Indian restaurant Dishoom is a really good place to have a porridge and hot Chai Latte and even maybe a naan ! (3w.dishoom.com)
    Have fun!

  8. You’ve picked some seriously cool pieces here, Tania – such a good eye! I especially like the sculpture of the bird alighting on the miniature frame with the locket in. Definitely makes me want to visit some modern art galleries. I’d like to visit the Affordable Art Fair next time it rolls round, since I definitely can’t afford anything more expensive at the moment! x

It’s that time of the year again when all that matters is CHOCOLATE and HOT CROSS BUNS!!! Now if you can combine the two… then you have a winning combo in my opinion. I can’t quite believe it’s been a whole year since I last made and shared these (they were in a collab with […]
