A Life Update (I’m alive) & Photos that should be together

  1. Antonia U. says:

The reason I love your blog is that all your posts seem effortless and your writing is so genuine. I generally love snooping around in other people’s lives and therefore personal blogs are some of my favorites.

I understand what you mean by having to be real to who you are. My blog has evolved over the years and my personal interests have changed. With that, also my blog has shifted from what used to be a food blog to a place where I share pictures, travel adventures, tips and recipes. Yet, every time I publish a post that might not "fit" into my blog’s theme, I hope that my readers will still like it. It’s silly, because, as you said, I should be blogging for myself!

Thanks for this great post! xx

    • Tania Joy says:

Dear Antonia, I wanted you to know that your comment made me so happy. It’s the biggest compliment you could have ever given me. So THANK YOU for that.
Blogs are en extended part of who you are, very much like a diary, it grows with you. It doesn’t have to be ONE thing, because YOU are a multitude of wonderful things as an individual, so why restrict yourself to one category?? Don’t worry about the others, do what YOU love (easier said than done, I’ll give you that!) xx

  2. Tashiana Langley says:

You panicked at the thought of having abandoned this little solace which means so much to you; but at the same time – that’s the art of a blog. A blog is a benevolent little haven, which shares all of your happiest moments and picks you up when you are down. Blogs wait for you to ‘come home’. But with that said…I am so happy that you’re back! The pictures are beautiful! I totally understand that perfectly rational fear you mention here…"what if instagram dies?" – a possibility I can’t bear to discuss either. I 100% relate to the feeling that if it hasn’t been blogged/shared somehow; then it didn’t happen. It’s the way we are.

P.S, you have to elaborate on the Aussie boyfriend bit!

I couldn’t have said it better myself!! It’s exactly what a blog does. It’s the best feeling actually.. to know that’s it’s ‘there’ when you need it! and to have this wonderful community who is so supportive and amazingly kind throughout the years! thank you for saying all of this. I love reading your comments 🙂
Oh and I swear I’ve had nightmares of Instagram ‘dying’. That’s really sad isn’t it?!
ps: I’d love to, but I’m holding off for now. I’m a little too shy, and it’s all very new 🙂

Thanks for reminding us all why we blog 🙂 It’s sometimes so easy to get swept up in the perceived perfection of people’s lives on the internet. As you say, it’s all about remembering the lovely little moments like all that amazing avo toast, and the golden glow of the evening sun.
Hope life is going well Aussie side and you’re still finding time to relax

It’s the hardest thing, to stay true to oneself and ignore that voice inside your head that tells you that you’re not good enough, or not this or that enough. Comparison is the thief of joy (or something like that) Life is going great, like really really great thank you! xx

You’re writing is so perfect, it makes my soul ache xx

  5. India Alexandra says:

    Utterly beautiful T

~ I quite agree, sometimes blogging can be quite pressurised from the person who created the blog in the first place. Isn’t it great to "get back to basics" ?

Oh, and "finding an Aussie boyfriend" – I am so happy for you, how wonderful. Life can be such an adventure and I am sure you are very glad to have taken that adventure out to Auz!

    • Tania Joy says:

Thank you so much sweet India! (sorry for the late reply) Getting back to basics is my new motto. with the blog, and in life. ha thanks! Life truly is one wonderful adventure (very much like a roller coaster)! I hope you’re well xx

  6. Maja Moliere says:

Yay for being back and not having to be someone you’re not! A rule to live by, always! Also, tell us more about that new job of yours!!!

It’s that time of the year again when all that matters is CHOCOLATE and HOT CROSS BUNS!!! Now if you can combine the two… then you have a winning combo in my opinion. I can’t quite believe it’s been a whole year since I last made and shared these (they were in a collab with […]
