    A similar thing happened to me about two years ago! I read a book called Eating Animals by Jonathan Safron Foer and it just completely changed the way I viewed food and the products I use. The day after I finished it I decided to cut meat from my diet and only buy products that hadn't been tested on animals which required a lot of initial effort but now is as easy as pie and has forced me to learn to cook which I actually really enjoy now! I might take a look at the book you mentioned, it's always great to find things that open your eyes a little more. Love your blog by the way, I just discovered it the other day and it's addictive 🙂

    These sound absolutely fantastic! Having just successfully baked a batch of chocolate chip cookies, I'm eager to try more in my tiny Parisian oven.

    And yes, nutrition is fascinating. I did a cleanse a few years back that cut out animal products, gluten, and alcohol. It was super tough, but a week in, I hadn't ever felt better! Introducing gluten back in my diet was like a huge slap in the face (and stomach). Since then, my daily meals have gotten breadier, but I try to be conscious of it. It really can weigh me down.

    Looks delicious. I'm doing the same thing at the moment, with the Whole Living Detox. It's amazing, but like you said, those no-brainer foods are no longer an option. Makes you really think outside the box. Love it though.

Oh I'm all the same, at the moment I'm also reading this book called "No More Dirty Looks'' about all the chemicals in makeup and I can tell you, I went through a massive cleanout of all my beauty products haha I just love to learn more about health and nutrition, I like to be aware of whats going in my body as well as on my body.. Wheat Belly is definitely a must read! x

    It really is! That sounds like a hardcore cleanse! But it feels so good doesn't it?? I've been bad in the past couple of days and I can really feel it… It's all about will power!! and putting an end to bad habits! x

    Sounds so yummy! What are the main benefits of being wheat free? Sorry, I know nothing about nutrition but I wish I did! Hmm, maybe I should look into this book 🙂

    I should cut out more wheat as well but it's just so hard!! 🙁
    my best friend cut it out of her diet about two years ago including sugar and some other things. she did a test or so on different food which her system can't really process and after cutting it out she said she felt so much better.

    I've got coeliac disease (was diagnosed a year ago) and can't eat any gluten (wheat, barley or rye) which makes eating anywhere a huge challenge. BUT there are loads of things you can still have. Go down the free from aisle and there's a lot of choice on wraps and stuff like that now. I never really feel like I'm missing out on too much! x
